Hourly range for RSAM Registered Nurses (12+ months experience) $41.44 - $64.45 / hour

? Evening Shift Differential- $3.00 / hour

Responsibilities*

Coordinator will be expected to cross train to all areas covered by the department.
Provide quality care to patients, families, and donors preparing for bone marrow transplant.  Work as a nurse member of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Provide functional supervision of clerical staff. 
Provide clinical direction and support for the Bone Marrow Transplant team through consultation with nursing and other team members.
Provide continuity and coordination for the Bone Marrow Transplant population in the inpatient and ambulatory care settings. 
Coordinate and participate in the development and implementation of patient and nursing education programs and materials relating to Bone Marrow Transplant.

Excellent interpersonal (including phone) skills with physicians, peers, and patients as demonstrated by previous employment, references, and evaluations are a must. 
Demonstrated ability to organize and delegate effectively and efficiently.
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other team members.
Flexible hours to meet program needs.

Salary & Nursing Framework Level:
This UMPNC RN posting is posted under the Role-Specific Advancement Model (RSAM) as:
CCC- COMPETENT NE
Actual RSAM LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.
RSAM levels range from CCC-COMPETENT NE to CCC-EXPERT NE to CCC-MASTERY Plus NE

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position. Posting may be filled after the initial 5-day posting period.

Required Qualifications*

Current license to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.

Required Educational Requirement; applicant must meet one of the following:
Bachelors degree in Nursing OR 
Associates degree or diploma in Nursing and a Masters degree in Nursing

Two (2) years of recent Bone Marrow Transplant and/or Acute Leukemia (Heme/Onc) RN experience OR direct care as a RN with stem cell donor/apheresis population

NOTE: In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.

Desired Qualifications*

Nurse Coordinator experience.
Lead nurse or charge nurse experience.
Proven leadership ability as evidenced by previous employment and references.
Demonstrated ability to set goals, promote teamwork and problem solve.
Computer skills.
OCN or BMTCN certified.
MSN

Work Schedule

Hours: 40 hrs/wk
Shift: Day Shift, Monday - Friday; flexibility in hours needed with the ability to work both 8 and 10hr shifts as scheduled to meet the department needs
Location: This position is located in the C&W Mott Hospital-Adult Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic.

***Hybrid/Remote work option may be available after completion of orientation

All new employees are expected to float in times of low census.

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association and the U-M Professional Nurse Council union, which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
